Home alone on a Friday relaxing, reading, listening to old albums and tidying up. While the lounge is in shape, I’ve taken a couple of pictures of it on my laptop camera and thought I’d take one of my facial fuzz before it gets a trim.
Look, it was that or watch Duncan from Blue on Children In Need.
(Picture in the background is Patrick Caulfield’s After Lunch.)

If you see the girl turning anticlockwise: you think with the left side of your brain, which means you are a logical thinker, you enjoy rummaging through concepts for specifics, you enjoy mathematical concepts, science and are very pragmatic.
If you see the girl turning clockwise: you think with the right side of your brain, which means you have a creative mind, you enjoy arts, philosophical thinking & the thrill of working on new ideas.
Which one are you?
CLOCKWISE. ♥
WHOA?!
CounterAnticlockwiseClockwise ;)
Clockwise. The creepiest thing is how the girl may sometimes turns the other way before your very eyes.
Anticlockwise at first. Then I looked at the feet and it went clockwise for a while. Now it’s both. In conclusion, both sides of my brain seem to be working ok.

Even though I can make websites, I’m eager for Flavors.me to launch.
You make a one-page profile with a hi-res photo … it’s easy and elegant, and launches a week from tomorrow. The alpha users are lapping it up here, for example:
“Looks like it might become my stock recommendation for people asking for small vanity sites.” -Nicholas EvansThe gallery is pretty exciting … LAUNCH THIS SITE!
This looks great. I want one! Very Zach Klein aren’t they.
Very nice. Shame about the typo, though.

Q: What's the difference between me and Snoop Dogg?
A: The UK denied Snoop’s visa!!!
Three more years for me!
This is really, really good news. My friend American Abby (never ever called her that before but it provides context) has been given the go ahead to stay in the UK for another three years. This is kind of out of the blue news and I’m absolutely chuffed.
Abby - you deserved this and I’m really impressed you did it. British-themed party to celebrate, yes?

» Sigur Ros' amazing Heima film - online for free for 1 week
PItchfork are showing Heima for one week on their site and it’s free to watch. It’s a stunning, sweet film about a tour the band put on in their home country of Iceland to thank everyone there for their support.
I really love this film. I used to write about music and review albums etc for a magazine and its website so when it came out I went to a screening. I watched it and felt ecstatic; it was even better than I’d considered it could be. I emailed the PR the next day and asked to attend any other screenings they were putting on. The next time I saw Heima was at the National Film Theatre. The band appeared before the film started and played a short acoustic set. I got over excited, cried a bit and briefly considered storming the stage but I was sat in the middle of the row so getting out would have been a real pain.
